Homework

What is the purpose of homework?

Homework provides a positive link between home and school. At Sandiway Primary School, we recognise that children lead busy lives outside school with many children enjoying after-school and weekend activities; this often leads to little time for homework. For this reason, we have built some flexibility into the setting of homework by allowing a number of days for it to be completed.  

Homework is set weekly with a focus on enjoying reading experiences at home.  We also encourage children to work on fluency in Maths and set optional activities for children to complete.
