November 2016

This week has been yet another extremely busy week! We started our week off by looking at the book, 'Just A Dream' by Chris Van Allsburg, as part of our focus for book week. The message entwined throughout the story is how we need to look after the world we live in and so the children have been discussing, researching and finding out about different environmental issues ready to complete some non-fiction writing.

Within Maths we have been looking at the short method for multiplication but do keep reminding ourselves of prime numbers through the 'Prime Numbers' rap.

Within Science this week we started to look at friction within our forces topic. This lead us nicely onto our trip to Techniquest, Wrexham. The children represented the school brilliantly and had an amazing time exploring the different scientific zones. We then consolidated our understanding of forces through a forces workshop. Here are a few images of how amazing our trip was.
