A few reminders:

PE - PE days will be Monday and Thursday this half term. Children should come to school dressed in their school PE kit on these days.

Water - It is important that children bring in a bottle of water each day which they can access at any time and refill throughout the day.

Snacks - Children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack to eat at breaktime - no chocolate, crisps or sweets. We are a nut free school. Snack can also be purchased from the school kitchen using credit on your child’s dinner money account.

Summer 1

Please click here to see the Summer overview for more information.

This half term, we will be basing our writing on 'The Paperbag Prince' by Joe Todd-Stanton. The Paperbag Prince is an old man living in a railway carriage on a rubbish dump. But he knows that even rubbish can sometimes contain treasure, and that if he stays long enough, gentle nature will heal the countryside and make the green come again. We will be writing persuasive/ informative leaflets as our final outcome.

Focusing on our inference skills, we will be reading 'Pollution: A Look Behind The Scenes' by The Literacy Company as our text this half term.

We will cover shape and position and direction this half term. We will be identifying, measuring and drawing angles on a straight line as well as in a shape. We will then be plotting co-ordinates and translating and reflecting shapes.
